Épiphanie, known in English as Epiphany, is a Christian feast celebrated on January 6th, marking the visit of the Magi (Three Wise Men) to the infant Jesus, symbolizing the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles. In France and other Francophone countries, it is traditionally celebrated with the "galette des rois" (King Cake), a pastry containing a hidden fève (bean or small figurine). The person who finds the fève in their slice becomes the king or queen for the day, wearing a paper crown. This custom not only commemorates the biblical story but also fosters a sense of community and festivity, blending religious observance with joyous cultural tradition.
